Established in 1939, the North Little Rock Housing Authority is the oldest PHA in Arkansas that builds and maintains affordable housing, encourages self-sufficiency and offers upward mobility opportunities to low-income families, veterans, elderly and disabled persons. NLRHA manages 1,023 units of public housing consisting of four elderly and disabled sites and four family complexes with a little of over 1,600 residents. In addition, NLRHA administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program, formerly Section 8, which provides assistance to more than 1300 families including 200 veterans for rental housing and homeownership opportunities.
ABOUT NLRHA
Over the next five years, the NLRHA is seeking to transform its public housing by rebuilding, substantial rehabilitation using key HUD programs - Rental Assistance Demonstration and Section 18. Our goals are to:
